How much does a custom figurine cost?

On 17 September 2026 we looked up the price of a custom figurine at eight shops that sell one made from a photo, in set sizes, and wrote down what each asked that day. Half of them showed a crossed-out price next to a sale price. We list the price you would have paid.

At about 6 cm, the size of a typical Nendo figurine, three of the shops asked $69 to $70. The shops whose smallest size is bigger asked $58 at 15 cm, $69 at 8 cm, $89 at 10 cm and $219 at 9 cm. A Nendo figurine costs $29 to $30 plus $5 shipping. We try to keep that price as low as we can.

Some shops print in full color and some paint by hand. A few don't say which. The last column shows whether shipping is included, and two of the shops don't mention it.

JLC3DP in China prints our figurines in full-color resin. Since 3 August 2026, every full-color print we have paid for has cost $0.754 per cubic centimeter, before coupons and extra fees. That is 27 models and 30 prints, because 3 models were printed twice. Our earlier invoices ran at $0.845 and $0.858 per cubic centimeter.

A cubic centimeter (cm³) is a cube 1 cm on each side. Count how many fit inside a figurine and you have its volume, which is how much resin it is made of. There is no fixed fee on top, so twice the volume costs twice as much. Very small prints, under about 7 cm³, cost a minimum of about $5.22.

We could not find this rate published anywhere. JLC3DP's full-color resin page says only "From $5", and its article on printing costs gives no full-color rate. FacFox, another printing service, lists $1.20 to $1.50 per cm³ for the same kind of full-color printing in an article from April 2025.

Printing in one color costs much less. For every model we get JLC3DP quotes for the same file at the same size in full-color, black and white resin, so the three prices can be compared directly.

Across 344 models quoted between 24 July and 17 September 2026, black resin came to a bit over a quarter of the full-color price and white resin to about an eighth. A one-color print comes out all one color, with no paint, and includes JLC3DP's standard sanding finish. At Nendo you can pick matte white or matte black, and they cost less than full color.

Our orders took a median of 17.4 days from checkout to the door, timed on 33 paid orders placed 27 May to 26 August 2026. The middle half arrived in 15.9 to 18.4 days. Every order left China with YunExpress, and a local carrier did the last part.

Customs and import charges are not included in any of these prices. They depend on your country, and the rules change. The official pages below explain them.

The printing prices, sizes and delivery times come from our own database and our paid invoices, as they were on 17 September 2026. Nothing here is about any one customer. Median means the middle value, so half were lower and half were higher.

Other shops' prices come from their own product and pricing pages on 17 September 2026. We left out body scanning studios and one-off sculpting commissions, because they sell a different product and the prices don't compare.
